Peanut Butter Spread

Makes 1 1/2 to 2 cups

1/4 cup of toasted sunflower or sesame seeds, preferably ground

1 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup raisins, chopped dates, or other dried fruit

Dash of salt

Mix all ingredients. If you have apple sauce in hand, use it in place of honey or molasses. The amount can vary with your preference. This makes a lighter-textured spread with a marvelous flavour.

Optional -2 tablespoons honey or molasses
